According to a news story published on the Sydney Morning Herald website, it did. In fact this news story stems from another story which is mentioned in the report. So can blogging be squarely blamed for online writing skills taking a nosedive?
It can in some respects. But there is a way to ensure that your own blog doesn’t suffer the fate of so many others and end up populated with poor writing. I have lost count of the number of sites and blogs I have come across where the writing has clearly been done by someone who doesn’t have English as their first language. I’m not sure which is the greater crime though – the fact that someone has written a blog in English when they don’t have the skills to do so, or that the blogger has clearly not read it before posting it to their own blog.
If you hire a blogger to write blog posts for you, the chances are good that you will be putting your own name on those posts. This means the quality of the posts reflects on YOU. If you have ever hired a blogger in the past, have you been happy with the quality of the posts they have provided? If you have been disappointed it’s time to invest in a quality writer who knows how important it is to provide outstanding quality.
I have written countless articles and blog posts for a wide variety of clients. I am dedicated to providing excellent quality at all times – just take a look at my testimonials page to confirm this. It may not be my name going on my work, but I think it’s even more important for you to be able to stand behind your blog and be proud of it. Don’t you?
