If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ve probably noticed I tend to publish a post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This adds a good amount of fresh content to my website each week. It seems to work well for my website, but does that mean it would work well for yours?

Some of my clients ask me to write one regular post every single week for their site. Others ask for five a month. Some have two per week, while others simply order a batch whenever they need them.

So, what would be right for your blog?

I honestly don’t think there is a single right or wrong answer to this. Three a week works well for me because it allows me to build my website and provide more pages to be indexed in the search engines. This means potential clients have more ways to find me.

However it doesn’t mean this amount will work well for your website. You have to think about your budget too, not to mention the length of the blogs you need. Some people have two 250 word blogs per week, whereas others prefer one 500 word one. There are all kinds of options here.

This is one reason why I don’t lock my clients into ordering specific amounts of blog posts over a specific period of time. You’re in the driving seat. You get to choose what you want and when. You can try a small number of posts and then ramp it up if you wish.

So where will you begin?
